How to Use Your Free Web Space

Important file information:
The file of the first (home) page of your web site must be named index.html. All remaining web page files must be saved with a .htm or .html file extension. Picture and image files must be saved as .gif or .jpg files. You can find a lot of useful information on how to construct a web page/site by searching the Internet. Page counters are available here.

Uploading files:
After your .html pages are created, FTP (File Transfer Protocol) them and your image files to our web server using a FTP program. FTP programs are available for download on the Internet, your CTC Net installation CD, or from the "My Tools" page on the community web site.

Web address:
Your URL is http://www.chibardun.net/~username or http://www.chibardun.net/~username/filename. For example: If your email address is janedoe@chibardun.net, your web site's URL is http://www.chibardun.net/~janedoe. If you have a file named ebay_pictures.htm uploaded, the URL is http://www.chibardun.net/~janedoe/ebay_pictures.htm or point to a single uploaded picture as follows: http://www.chibardun.net/~janedoe/lawnmower.jpg
