George Buck started his garden in 1906 when he began to cultivate ginseng and goldenseal. His was one of the largest and most successful in the region. His children, including William Buck, entered into the business with him.
I learned this trade from my grandfather, William Buck, and first planted my garden in 1980. Along with my wife and four sons, we have added to our garden of Ginseng and Goldenseal; beds of Echinacea, St. Johnswort, and Feverfew.
We harvest and distribute our herbs in capsule and extract form for our mail order customers. Our herbs are processed at a state licensed facility here in northwest Wisconsin. Samples of each lot of herbs are sent to an independant lab for microbial analysis. Our Herbal garden and drying facility also are state inspected. We take care to produce a top quality crop here in the Wisconsin township of Prairie Farm. We are working towards a 100% organically grown garden, we keep our prices low and very competitive.
You can find our herbs in Amundson's, Prairie Farm; Cenex, Ridgeland; Cenex, Sand Creek; Cenex, Almena and Gerry's Store in Ridgeland.
