The Museum & Convention Center of Wrangell, Alaska, is hosting a display of John's modeling work for the entire 2008 Summer season. The display is the result of efforts by long-time friend and client of John's, Rod Brown. Rod has long been a promoter of John's work, and has generously donated his collection of models for the exhibit. Rod also printed some of the macro photography shared with him, and bound them into an accompanying binder showing some of the minute details difficult to see on the actual models.

John spoke about his work with miniature sailing ship and boat modeling, and included videos taken of such work as making tiny open hulled ship's boats and another showing insertion of a collapsed model into a light bulb. While at the Wisconsin Maritime Museuem event for his presentation, John also entered a miniature model of BonHomme Richard into the competition. He was honored to recieve a Gold Award for this model.
