| All models sold will include either a printed history sheet about the
ship portrayed, or in the case of most of the award winning models, a copy
of the required competition entry brochure. These brochures usually contain

techniques and processes as well as the plans that were used to build the

| Payment for models can be by personal check, bank money order or Western
Union money transfer. All payments to be made in US funds. Checks, money
orders or money transfers to be made out to John Fox III and/or Lothlorien
Crafts & Design at the address listed below. At this time John can
not accept credit card orders for payment. Shipment of any models paid
for by personal check will be held until the check clears. This can generally
add one to two weeks to delivery times for models.
Nearly all the models shown on the Lothlorien Crafts & Design web site are in sealed bottles/lightbulbs. For this reason ground transport, via UPS, is the preferred method of shipping. There is some risk of damage to models and bottles/bulbs if shipped via air transport in unpressurized baggage compartments. However, several models have been shipped via air to places as far away as Alaska with no ill effects. Ship in bottle or ship in light bulb models are shipped in a sturdy foam lined plastic box for permanent storage. These boxes are then placed in cardboard boxes with additional packing material. Shipping costs for s-i-b models are generally around $20.00 each for liter wine or lab bottle sized models and about $30.00 for gallon jug sized ship in bottle models. This quote is for UPS ground delivery in the continental United States. Canadian and other foreign shipments would cost more. All models shipped to an address in the state of Wisconsin will have the additional, appropriate sales tax added to the purchase cost. Static display models require much more care and packaging, and the shipping charges for those models reflects this. Exact shipping charges for these models will be determined at the time of sale. | These video tapes are in the NTSC format. Be sure that your video tape player can use a tape in this format, which is standard for US video tape players and recorders. Some European and other customers should check to make sure, as the standards in other countries vary and may be of the incompatible PAL type of system. |
| These tapes are approximately 1.5 hours long, and show the knockdown of the ship in bottle models, as well as their insertion through the neck of the bottle, and the finishing of the model inside the bottle. These tapes also include photos of the models during construction, and are narrated. All tapes are $20.00, including all tax, shipping and handling charges, when shipped to US addresses. Canadian or other foreign orders would cost a bit more. |
