How To Find The Perfect Job?
To live life at it's fullest, you only have to succeed at two things: enjoy your mate, and to enjoy your work....... so says Solomon. The first is another subject altogether. To make an informed decision about a profession, you'll need to get six essential components together as follows:
- It must be something you genuinely like to do. This choice requires you to identify your own strengths, weaknesses and interests.
- It must be something that you have the ability to do. You might want to be an attorney but can't pass the bar examination.
- It must be something that you can earn a living by doing. You might want to be an artist...... but will people buy your paintings? You could starve while painting.
- It must be something that you are permitted to do. You might want to be a fighter pilot, but can you pass the exams and physical tests? .....in the end, will they let you fly?
- It must be something that brings cultural affirmation. Most people want to feel some measure of respect from others for what they do.
- It must be something that you feel God approves of....... so much for drug peddling, scams, bribery, and pornography.
the above was copied from a James Dobson Newsletter
It is not impossible...... but the secret to happiness is to line up all of the six ingredients at one time. It is tough to do it alone. That is why number six is so important. In all you ways, acknowledge God, and He shall direct your paths.
This is why freedom is so important. If you have the liberty to wait, until you have these six things poised in harmony, you will have a happy and sucessfull life. What can encroach upon your freedom? Basically three things:
- Debt which really makes you a slave.....how are your credit cards?
- Marriage to the person who is not heading in the same direction as you
- Children at the wrong time
So, find your dream. Add to it the person who shares your goals and ambitions. Then, have children and give to them something only you can: your time.
