Located on the main street in downtown Dallas next to Clickers Restaurant,
the Dallas Library offers a great selection of books for all ages. The remodeled
building hosts thousands of books, many of them new releases. We now have internet

Kids Got Fired Up About Reading
"Bookrace 500", the Dallas Library's 2007 Summer Reading Program, gave kids the extra
"horsepower" they needed to read their way to victory this summer. Even though there were
some "hair pin turns" along the way, Amy Weaver, one of Dallas' librarians, helped the
little racers to get "hooked-up" with the right books for them. These kids didn't hold back.
They "put the hammer down" and read "flat out" the required books and all of them were able
to "shoot out" to victory. (Yeah, you're right, that's enough racing metaphors.) |

The children's summer reading program is just one of the many
of the services that the Dallas Library provides. Stop by and see
what else is going on. The library hours are Tuesday and Thursday
from 3-7 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. until Noon. All of you "Qualify."
(I just had to do one more.)
